Iyashikei: The Musical
How do you do, fellow Iyashikei players?
Meowzy here, not as an app mod but as a player, putting up an OOC communication/brainstorming post! As you may or may not have noticed, Vox is setting up an IC musical project. (It's just the second half of that post, really.) Basically, the idea here is for player characters to team up, pool all their creativity together and craft a fun musical stage performance. Even the story is something that they all can collaborate on, because with so many characters from so many different cultures, there's bound to be lots of fresh takes. Characters don't even need to be singers/dancers/writers to work on this project because they'll also need musicians, set designers, prop designers, costume designers, lighting crew... There's so much to be done! NPCs will pitch in too, of course, but Vox would like most of the creative jobs to fall on Council invitees.
I expect the designing process would take about a month (especially if magic is used to speed up crafting processes), with the biggest time hurdle being song and story writing. Once everything's done, they can put on the show live a few times and that'll be it.
This whole thing can be as big or as discreet as you guys want. If you want a mingle log where characters ICly get some work done, we can put that up. If you want an IC log for the finished musical's opening night, we can do that too! Just say the word. I can put them up, or someone else can do it if they want to. Otherwise, we just handwave the whole thing and you can say your character helped make it happen.
Very important note: You don't need CR with Vox to participate in this. His only role is kickstarting this whole thing, and from that point on he'll withdraw because he's got other duties to tend to. His company (VoxCo) will be around to film the finished performance for documentation and broadcasting purposes, but that's about it. So any player can just join in at any time without worrying about IC connections.
What is this post for? To get some better details on what exactly is going down with your character if they participate! You can chime in saying what your character would want to do, maybe brainstorm with players who are interested in similar roles... We can figure out the musical's story here, or other deets like the style (are we going full Sondheim? Or more Takarazuka?), and also you can give a shout out on whether you want those IC logs or not.

Stolas has pipes and he's a pretty good actor so I definitely want him to be in the show. He does make a pretty good villain so if no one else wants the role, I'd love that for him. I am the mastermind~. And he can probably help write a script bc this bird loves his cheesy romance novels, words, and just his damn drama shows.
Niffty is here to help with costumes with her needle and thread, but hey, she knows a bit of construction and can work on the set with things like painting and what not. Please do not let her near the script or writing room - she will give horrible ideas that are not kid safe.
I don't know if ideas have been tossed around for what kind of play it'll be IC yet, but maybe something fairytale-ish? Some kind of fantasy G to PG-13 rated romance fairytale that's fun for the whole family (since NPCs are a thing and we do have younger kids on the PC side), where there's a fight scene between the hero/ heroine and the villain. And a happily ever after for the main characters while the villain sits in jail.

Snow White: A natural falsetto, she is likely too shy to offer being on the stage, but! She is HAPPY to be a costumer or ask her animal friends to be part of the special effects! She's also REALLY good at managing things if you need stage-crew.
Alice: Shockingly good at memorizing lines and very good at playing pretend. Is seven though so if there are no child roles she'll be fine with just watching. Singing voice is fine but she struggles with high notes.
Rosie: Happy to fund things and will be watching from the audience. Will not be participating in any other way.

More seriously, his voice is beautiful, and his strength is in emotional expression. He has not been doing his best lately, so I feel like this could be something he really needs, especially if it's a song that resonates with him. So... something involving tragedy, lol. Or loving one's family. uvu
That said, creativity is normally where he has the potential to shine! He's been doing some plays with a few of his castmates, already, so he'd be solid support for fleshing out any ~plot~! He is also good at lyrics, and he can play essentially any instrument known to Earth.
He would take this whole thing very seriously (too seriously), just because he needs something to feel good about... so working with him might become annoying. His pride and need for control has odds of ruining the fun.
Close CR could easily get him to step back and breathe, fortunately.
Jinx can actually sing well, and my "headcanon" voice for her is in this song (female voice properly starting at about 1:05).
Reverse engineering is her strong suit, so she's already got the hang of technology here. Need repairs to any of the equipment? She's got ya. c:

Poppi does not necessarily have a history of being good in plays, so when she shows up, someone might want to gently guide her towards doing stagehand works. Turns out robotic strength has a lot of potential when it comes to that sort of thing?

Behind the scenes, she's eager to help with writing (including songwriting) and special effects- she's got some skill with basic light and illusion magic, along with moving small objects around.

Octavia: Might participate if someone drags her into it. She's not going to be on stage, but she can help move stuff, maybe play music.
