Event Preview

✨ What is an Event Preview? This is an opportunity to give you an idea of what's to come!
✨ Is this a plotting post/CR Meme? No, not really. This is just to give you an opportunity to get excited or plan accordingly so that you're not scrambling the day the event drops but we aren't going to make anything you need to fill out or say "this is what my characters are going to do." If the community does feel the need for a CR Meme, however, we are more than happy to create that.
✨ SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO:

✨ No one is quite sure when, but it comes as no surprise to the farmers who have lived here long enough, that a giant palace seems to have sprouted up overnight in the farmlands. The Double New Years celebrations are coming to a close, but there's still so much snow! What better way to stay warm than with some dancing? Yes, it's one of the Council Members favorite traditions: a ball!
✨ This year's theme: What is something about yourself you wish to share? What does that mean? That's up for your character to decide! It can be as complex or as simple as you would like.
✨ Don't have an outfit? While the Winter Markets don't have anything for the occasion, you don't need to worry! Of course, there are clothiers where you can get an outfit or you can get help from two Council members, should you so choose.
What's the catch?
There honestly isn't that much of one for either Council Member, at least, not in the way you might be thinking.
The first Council Member, a stick-thin scientist with a strong Drusselstinian accent will shoot at you with his Dress-inator. It doesn't hurt, mind you, but it can be a bit nerve-racking. His platonic life-partner, a teal platypus in a Fedora, is there to make sure nothing goes awry. While the Dress-inator is able to give a lovely and complimentary dress to the wearer, that's ALL it can do, just dresses. He doesn't have time to explain the science, mind you, he's got a whole population to help! You're going to have to take care of your own hair and makeup! The good news is, you get to keep the dress afterwards!
The second Council Member is an older, plump, and unassuming woman. Appearing out of thin air and into her hand, you might recognize what looks like a magic wand. With a bibbidi bobbidi boo (yes, really), she'll deck you out from your head to your toes! Hair, jewelry, makeup, and of course, an outfit that goes with your eyes. Unlike the Dress-inator, the wand and spell doesn't just do dresses! It does suits, gowns, tuxedos, and everything in between - so long as it's formal. What's the catch compared to the Dress-inator? Well, for one, one of your shoes seems to keep slipping off all night, and two, the outfit will completely disappear at midnight, leaving you in the outfit she transformed earlier. You would only be left with a single memento of the outfit to hold onto from then on, this might be the shoes or a piece of jewelry.
No one is OBLIGATED to go to the ball (as with all things, the Council doesn't force anyone to be anywhere they don't want to be), but if you don't go, you might miss out on the other opportunities being held by other Council members. Plus, this will be your chance to actually talk to one of the Council members.
✨ What are the other opportunities? Without telling too much, there will be an opportunity for characters to reveal facts about themselves, depending on how competitive they are. There will also be a chance to gain some items that will help with your character's moods.
✨ When does the ball end? The ball will last for one day until the stroke of midnight! The Council is busy, after all, and once the ball is over? The palace disappears as if it were never there! It's really very impressive magic... or science, hard to say.
