    EVENT PREVIEW

What is an Event Preview? This is an opportunity to give you an idea of what's to come!

Is this a plotting post/CR Meme? No, not really. This is just to give you an opportunity to get excited or plan accordingly so that you're not scrambling the day the event drops but we aren't going to make anything you need to fill out or say "this is what my characters are going to do." If the community does feel the need for a CR Meme, however, we are more than happy to create that.

    SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO:

✨ Thanks to the insistence of a certain lawyer, he badgered petitioned a Council Member to make leaving a lot more streamlined! However... weelllll... it's resulted in less than stellar results since the Council Member in question was working on a bit of a time-crunch and you know, sending people home involves the space-time-continuum and multiverses and really, no one is surprised by the mess this has caused. Please enjoy the April Fools Mini-Event!

✨ Besides this unusual situation, it is April. Which means it's SOWING SEASON.

No, no, not with a needle and thread... well, that might be necessary for some things, but no! It's all about planting and pruning at nearly all the farms. And not just the farms! The community gardens between neighborhoods and apartment buildings also require being tended to! The same way the Repair Fair takes over, Sowing Season will ask everyone to get involved in some form or fashion.

✨ There are several ways to help during Sowing Season.

There's getting your hands dirty and getting in the rich soil, putting seeds into the ground and covering them back up. Rows and rows and rows and rows and rows of seeds or bulbs need to be planted. Although, community gardens are nowhere near as big. If that seems a bit repetitive, take the dead fish that have been set aside for Sowing Season and help to bury them in between the rows so the soil becomes nutrient-rich. However, if getting your hands dirty is a big "Absolutely Not" for you, you can help in other ways! There's pruning dead branches and leaves in the orchards, community gardens, and vineyards. There's also checking in on the berries and other fruits and vegetables that are almost ready to harvest for spring, helping make sure rot and insects haven't wrecked a crop.

If you have something of a black thumb, there are always the animals that need help as well! With the temperatures getting warmer, the sheep need to be sheared. If you don't know how to shear one, then you can help gather them into the barn. Speaking of gathering animals, you can either ride a horse to bring them in from the far hills, or learn the art of Kulning to help bring the animals back to their pens. Once they're at the barns, grab a short stool and a bucket, and you can milk the cows and goats. Careful, if you tug too hard, you might find yourself being head-butted or kicked.

Whatever you do, stay away from the various pens of the bulls and rams... or pray you can run faster than they can.

There are also eggs to be collected! While there are chicks, ducklings, and goslings hatching everywhere, there are eggs that are duds and need to be taken from the nests so they don't rot and affect the health of the birds... Just be really careful as the hens and geese don't take kindly to someone trying to take their eggs, and they will peck or snap at you to get you away from their nests, or much worse, they will give chase, and being chased by a goose is no joke.

It's a lot of hard work to feed... well, EVERYONE!

But if even that is something outside of your comfort levels, you can be on the committee for the "Sowing Spring Soiree."

As a giant "THANK YOU" for all that labor during sowing season, there's a massive potluck afterwards! You don't have to make anything if you don't want to, but there are going to be some opportunities for those who do bring some food.

What are the other opportunities? Without telling too much, there will be an opportunity for characters to get prizes for various dishes or jams, eating contests, and oh, there's also a fun event that involves memory eggs! What does that mean? Guess you'll find out.

When does this all end? Well, planting and tending to animals honestly takes weeks and weeks... that said, the Soiree itself will end a bit sooner than usual because of a problem that will hop up from the university. You'll all be fine...

    Probably.
